LEICESTER Speedway are throwing their doors open to youngsters throughout the county – with free admission to Premiership meetings during the school summer holidays!
All under 16s who visit the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena at Beaumont Park, starting this Monday against King’s Lynn, will be admitted free with a paying adult.
It’s a great opportunity for a family night out at one of the most exciting, adrenaline-filled sports there is.
Watling JCB Lions co-promoter Neil Machin said: “We want to encourage a younger generation through the turnstiles here at Leicester in addition with the excellent fanbase we already enjoy.
“We have some important meetings to come throughout the summer holidays and we want fans from all over Leicestershire to come along and support the team before the Foxes and Tigers start their season in football and rugby.”
HOLIDAY FIXTURES: Monday July 16 v King’s Lynn 7.30, Monday July 30 v Poole 7.30, Monday August 13 v Belle Vue 7.30, Monday August 27 v King’s Lynn 6pm.
Meanwhile Leicester bosses are urging their side to bounce back to winning ways in Monday’s clash with King’s Lynn.
They were beaten in a last race drama at the hands of Poole in front of the BT Sport cameras last Monday.
And Machin said: “The challenge is there for the lads, they need to step it up.
“The owners are always looking at their options but we won’t make a change just for the sake of it. We have to be sure we have the right options.
“Our reserves were weak last week and we need to see an improvement from them in particular on Monday.”
